Guiding Policies

The University of Missouri is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable campus community. Our policies reaffirm our pledge to provide equal opportunity. We prohibit discrimination, bias-motivated violence, sex-based violence, and retaliation. We use one of four processes called the Equity Resolution Processes to address reported violations of these policies.

These policies were updated in February 2017 and the new processes went into effect March 1, 2017. Reports or complaints filed on or after March 1, 2017 will be resolved under the new, revised processes

Equity Resolution Processes

The University typically uses one of four equity processes to respond to allegations of discrimination. The process used depends upon who is accused of discrimination. If none of the equity processes applies, then the University may still investigate or take action.
