Academic search committee workshops
Beginning Fall, 2008, the Equity Office will present workshops to educate search committee members about legal mandates and hiring best practices. The workshop will incorporate discussion and hands-on practice that participants can apply to their search in progress.
Sexual harassment prevention training for faculty
What should a faculty member do when a student confides that s/he’s been sexually harassed? What are the limits of academic freedom? When is a consensual relationship – not? Humorous skits form the basis for group discussion on these and other topics regarding faculty responsibility as it impacts students and co-workers.
