The Office of Institutional Equity tracks reported discrimination on campus. These reports provide our constituents with data and contextual information regarding the number of reports received by our office and the processes by which reports are resolved. They also help inform our policy, education, and prevention efforts to reduce discrimination on campus, as well as provide baseline information that the university can use to identify trends.
Please be aware that we have an obligation to balance transparency with our commitment to respecting the privacy of those involved, as well as our duty to keep confidential information that is protected by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Please also note that not all instances of discrimination are reported to our office. There are many reasons individuals make a personal choice not to report.
